Luther League
Taken from a church bulletin dated December 25, 1948:
The Christian Service flag that hangs to the front of our church was given by the Luther League. Each cross stands for a son or daughter of the congregation who has been, or still is, in full time Christian service. These are Pastor Roy Breivik, Mrs. J. N. Brown, Deaconess Ella Knutson, Pastor George Nelson, and Pastor Orrin Thompson.
Taken from a church bulletin dated September 23, 1951.
The Christian Service flag which hangs before the congregation in Little Cedar Church is a reminder to us of those from the parish that entered what is known as full-time Christian service. The blue cross upon the flag which was recently added stands for the Rev. Fredrick Bolton who was ordained here on June 3, 1951. The gold cross which surmounts the blue cross is placed in honor of Rev. Roy Breivik, the son of a former pastor. Roy served in the ministry only a few short years before his untimely death on December 14, 1948.
The other crosses on the flag stand for Pastor George Nelson, Mrs. J. N. Brown, Mrs. Amon Johnson, Deaconess Ella Knutson, Pastor Orrin Thompson, Pastor Evans Knutson, and parish worker Sylvia Slindee.
